Very interesting...

I have a problem with Coinstar change-converting machines. They are a great idea, but the 8% they take out for their services really bothers me.

I just found out that you can change your coins in for free...if you have a location near you that provides a gift-card option.

Apparently you can change your coins in for gift cards to places like Starbucks, Waldenbooks, Pier 1, etc, and avoid paying the fee.

Now, I'm not going to advocate this wholeheartedly...I mean, if you have $100 in front of you, I'd say it may be safer to put it in an ING account or something instead of using it all on Caramel Macchiatos...but if that's your poison....

Find out if you have a gift-card-offering machine near you here: http://www.coinstar.com/us/WebDocs/A1-0-3-1

May 06 Totals

May Totals

5718 - Credit cards
9662 - Car
32897 - Student loans

48277 - Total

Getting there...little by little. I can't wait to have those credit cards paid off - the interest they accrue each month is hazardous! I'm working the hardest on those, first.
