I am in the home stretch, but it is getting so hard because I refuse to deny myself fun.

Still being frugal - basically never eating out unless a social interaction calls for it (e.g. it's part of seeing a group of friends that I want to see; my house isn't really fit for entertaining), barely shopping for groceries outside of my paid-for CSA share, taking lunch to work every single day. All of these things seem to revolve around food! But that really is a huge expenditure for many people.

So, I'm still a little in the hole thanks to the Italy trip, but I am not worried about that! It's not unrecoverable, and July is a three-paycheck month. The trip was wonderful, and I am super glad that we went in May as we did, while things were touristy but not CRAZY! TOURISTY!

Oh, but it all felt worth it when we got bumped from our flight on the way there. For leaving just 4 hours later, we each got $500 in future travel, plus $12 for food in the airport. We got to Rome at 12:00 p.m. instead of 7:30 a.m. Hardly a hardship! I have been wanting to get bumped for so long!
